One of my favourite things online is "lets try" videos, where people (often internet personalities) record themselves trying food or drink and reviewing on the spot, resulting in comical despair, or a product endorsement should the stuff not suck -- AND I DON'T KNOW WHY I love these videos, they are just so fun for me to watch??). I particularly love Brad Jones from The Cinema Snob, and his whole Brad Tries series, specifically for his bizarre Japanese product tries and independent/online products.
For a while I've toyed with the idea of doing this same thing, and while I know it's not related to fashion at all, this is my only major social/entertainment platform -- where I essentially tell you readers what's good to buy, right? So either watch, or ignore!
What started as one video turned into three separate runs as Kathryn and I recalled more things to consume in front of our webcam, so enjoy.

A vlog, and some other notes.
Heyyy, a video! After seeing Madeline from Jean Greige and Isabel from I Fly a Starship post their own videos inspired by Fashion Pirate about their experiences in fashion blogging, I decided to be extremely unoriginal and follow suit. Because I know how desperately you guys wanna see a thirty-seven minute long video of me rambling on through different incoherent trains of thought. ♥
Oh my god I basically just tell my life's story here, and how I learned to develop what I call the 'IDGAF mentality.' I am so lame, and not good with words.
So I mention in the video that I have a Formspring account, and that I really want some more questions to be left in my inbox! So get over here and leave me some questions. Or email me. Or something.
Also, the loud annoying clicking is the laptop's mousepad-thing. I am so sorry you guys, it's not even half as loud IRL.
Four more days to use my special magical discount code for Crash & Burn Apparel! Go go go!
Crash & Burn Apparel • 20% off discount code: ONTHEGANGES
Did you vote for me to win PLNDR's modeling contest? If the answer was 'yes' or 'no,' go do it! Even if you voted yesterday, you can vote again each day until the contest ends. C'mon, guys! :< ♥

81; A Seance in the Dark
Top: JC Penny • Skirt: Pacsun • Creeps: eBay • Scarf: Fanneuil Hall, Boston • Necklace: birthday gift (try eBay) • Skull bracelet: Waloosi's, N. Leominster • Other bracelet: ShopWasteland.com • Belt: Delia's • Earrings: vintage
Firstly, thank you guys so much for your wonderful support for SOULMATES! As I type this, I've sold three pieces -- more than I had figured! I'm going to keep working on new pieces and designs, and perhaps even a discount code for you readers! I think I can afford that for you guys, especially if I keep selling stuff. You're more than welcome to help spread the word about the shop; here's a few ways:
My hair's almost not blue-green anymore! I've actually recently bleached it again, and it's sooo white now. It's actually kinda weird seeing it back to this colour after over a month. I'm thinking I'll keep it blonde until I have to do my roots, and then I'll Kool-Aid it again. I've bought packets of Orange and Strawberry, and Kathryn says she wants to see me with pink hair. Well, I've always wanted pink hair, so that's probably the colour you'll see me with next!
Also, you can totally see my mis-matched socks three photos up from here. Well, sometimes, a girl just can't find a matching black sock.
I keep getting fashion block, you guys. I've bought some stuff recently, and can't figure out how to wear any of 'em. Then I look at my existing pieces and go, "eugh," and struggle through finding a decent outfit. Perhaps it's partially due to the weather: it was really freaking warm, but it's getting back to chilly. Below fifty for the most of the next week? Are you kidding me, Massachusetts? You tease.

Thrift store haul (Featuring a video!)
Some notes before watching:
• Taken with a less-than-high-quality built-in webcam and mic on a laptop. My DSLR's memory card can't write video data fast enough to take one!
• I talk kind of fast at points, too fast perhaps. This is due to slight anxiety -- not quite about making a video, but that people were walking by my room constantly, talking loudly and cleaning, and these are people who don't really even know I run this blog. With paper thin walls/doors, the idea of them overhearing me, or the video picking up on misplaced talking, was a large worry of mine. Lame, I know.
• This is why I played some possibly irritating music on the other computer, to create some ambient sound to drown them out. Alas, it's Indian instrumental stuff, so I don't know if the pitch or sound is going to be grating for anyone watching. Sorry if it is.
• Aforementioned music is George Harrison's Wonderwall Music.
• SOULMATES PREVIEW!
• I'm spacey (you might catch on to this, slightly, during the video) and completely forgot to comment on just how ridiculous I felt while thrifting: wearing velvet leggings, carrying three velvet shirts (at one point), velvet palazzo pants, and a velvet skirt. I looked like a crazed velvet-seeking lunatic. It was silly.
Credit where it is due:
Jean Greige's Black Friday post that I mention in the beginning;
Olivia Harrison on Lookbook whom I reference twice;
'The missus' (to be) aka Kathryn.
