110; Post-Apocalyptic

Jacket: Crash & Burn Apparel Top + Jeans: PacSun Boots: Aldo Necklace: Vanessa Mooney

Fun fact!! These were from February. Or March. Or something. (Probably March.)

I just have not been inspired to blog lately. I feel as though it has to do with the pressure I feel is going on. I am constantly updated by my favourite stores on every social media platform about all of their newest products, but nothing is budget friendly. Fashion bloggers on the top of the mountain are sporting expensive top brand apparel, or incredibly coveted trending pieces... There is an increase in demand on thriftable items then they suddenly tripple in price on Etsy, and are unobtainable at the thrifts local to me. It's insane and difficult to keep up and be inventive. It saps my energy to scroll past tweets and posts enticing me to buy things that I couldn't afford even if I wanted to.

Hell, I'll be honest, I wouldn't shop at PacSun so often if I didn't get a discount for working there. I adore their stuff but damn, even twenty bucks for a shirt is starting to feel a bit steep.

I can't wait until my honeymoon in California. I'm packing light so that I can hit a flea market or thrift store, since the ones here are dedicated to garage junk and the unwantables of people my mother's age. Aka, not very hip.

It's hard to feel inspired, and it really sucks! But I'm trying to keep it going on since blogging used to get me really excited and made me pretty darn happy before. More DIY projects, maybe some pre-plan some outfits. To be honest I barely spend time in my room, so my clothes are hardly looked at or properly cared for. (The floor has served as a closet more than the closet has.)

I'm also going to start moderating comments again, since I keep getting ones with "style suggestions" linking back to their own products and that's kinda sketch. Get your own blog, man!

Oh!! And it's kool aid dye, in case you wondered.

  1. I LOVE YOUR HAIR THESE COLORS!!! Seriously, so good. I know what you mean about not feeling inspired. I recently went an entire month without blogging and have now come back to it.

  2. Don't let the prices and comments get you down girl. I' ve always loved your style, and I am sure the inspiration will come back. I have same problem as you do. I can't afford brand clothes, I buy mostly second hand. So we're in it together. I think it is more demanding to take lower priced pieces and create a good look out of it, yet you still do. So keep up the good work!

  7. I feel your pain! I'm a huge bargain shopper, so when things that I know I could get for cheap last season sky rocket in price and popularity I get bummed. Optimism is key and inspiration will come, don't stress it. I'm a new follower but I really love your outfits and I adore the kool aid hair and im so jealous of your huge Ganesh behind you :) x
