100; Misrepresented

Someone once told me how they hated the design of Jeffrey Campbell's platform heels such as the Lita/Stevie style because they looked like hooves. Well...I couldn't not with these leggings.

In fact, hoof-inspired heelless heels totally exist.

If these don't show up under my Christmas tree, I will be gravely disappointed.

I have felt surprisingly drawn to Baphomet lately? I wasn't sure why until I actually looked into its origin and symbolism. Its (The Sabbatic Goat) nature as a representation of the harmonious dichotomy in existence, and it's quite a beautiful symbol. Taken from Wikipedia:

"The goat on the frontispiece carries the sign of the pentagram on the forehead, with one point at the top, a symbol of light, his two hands forming the sign of occultism, the one pointing up to the white moon of Chesed, the other pointing down to the black one of Geburah. This sign expresses the perfect harmony of mercy with justice. His one arm is female, the other male like the ones of the androgyne of Khunrath, the attributes of which we had to unite with those of our goat because he is one and the same symbol. The flame of intelligence shining between his horns is the magic light of the universal balance, the image of the soul elevated above matter, as the flame, whilst being tied to matter, shines above it." (Eliphas Lévi)

This is the Baphomet that would be later tied into Satanism; kind of sad if only because that symbolism has been really lost in the mainstream understanding of the creature because of it.

Also, my beanie is pretty rad.

  2. It always makes me happy to see you exploring spiritual symbolism. ♥ I really love that last headshot, by the way. The washed-out colors are just so great for contrast with your eyemakeup, beannie and choker. Gah.
