108; I'll Be Damned

Sweater + Jacket : ROMWE • Pants: Forever21 • Shoes: eBay

WHY DO I LOOK LIKE SOME BIZARRE MIXTURE OF AGE TWENTY-SOMETHING AND TWELVE. Man this is so not attractive.

Whatever.

So I really love this stained-glass ~birth of Jesus~ sweatshirt. I jokingly called it my Christmas Sweater few months back. This year it'll be Hindu, promise.

94; Malleus Maleficarum

Stained glass dress: c/o Romwe ☯ Vest: Romwe ☯ Creepers: Demonia (eBay) ☯ Choker: Cobra Shop ☯ Fishnets: Hot Topic ☯ Bracelets: miscelaneous ☯ Necklace and earrings: c/o Vanessa Mooney

Kathryn and I agreed that I look like the protagonist anti-hero from a late 90s vampire movie with Catholic symbolism/undertones/basically "Constantine" but more "Matrix." (Wait, isn't Keanu Reeves in both of those movies? WEIRD.) When you put a leather vest-trenchcoat with a stained glass church window dress, I guess that just happens.

So I was graciously gifted this by Romwe -- y'all know who they are! -- and what the deal is, is that they let me pick what I want to be sent. I have no idea what is up with this dress but I had to have it. This dress just glows with colour, between the firey red and electric turquoise. It's so intense and eyecatching! I also had a pair of leggings sent to me, and you'll be seeing those next. They're insane. They're carrying quite a few of these awesome print-screened items, and they're really amazing!

And now you can tell how short I am in comparison to how short the dress is on this model, and how long it is on me. Weeping.

The heart-breakingly beautiful jewelry was given to me by the lovely people at Vanessa Mooney. I was on my way home from a butt-bustingly exhausting ride home from the Cape, I'd been up since 3am and had been moving non-stop, when I saw their email telling me they wanted to send me jewelry. I opened the .pdf on my iPhone and freaked out. "NO FREAKING WAY," I thought. This is just half of what they sent me, and Instagram buddies probably saw the photo with the other two necklaces that came in the package. I am wearing everything constantly, in fact I think I first wore this necklace specifically to go out to McDonald's for a snack. #memories

I can't fathom their jewelry. Come Christmas, I'll probably beg and whine for people to buy me more of their stuff. And to be honest, I'll be buying some myself.

VM, don't ever stop being perfect, okay?

Sooo I might be changing the name of this blog in the near future. I get bored with the same name after too long. Our names on the internet are our identities, and as you can clearly see, mine is pretty fluid.

I'm going to give it a few weeks, mull it over, do some more reasearch, and all that. I won't change it on you guys overnight -- don't want you checking your dashboards and thinking "who the hell is that? When did I start following them?" Nah, you'll know when it's coming...I hope.

Title reference -- yeah, not quite the obvious!

91; For the Thrill of it

WOW I'M ALIVE. (And check out my tat!) I have just been so...I'm not even sure. Enveloped in other things, spending my free time out of the house with people, taking up sleeping during waking hours. (My favourite activity by far.) I think I need people to like, text me once a week and assign me fashion blogging homework. I totally slacked. I'm not quite sure what happened. I sort of...stopped obsessing about this blog I think? But I've taken up secondary hobbies and need (and want) to learn how to juggle both, because I have a bad habit of monopolizing my time and attention on one single thing, instead of focusing on multiple things. Buying clothes is going to become a little more difficult in the future though, since now Kathryn has aquired a car and will need assistance paying for bills, and I hope to jump into cosmetology school sometime. Eek. School. We don't mix well.

Right, fashion blog. Fashion blog things. So, remember how I mentioned that I wear this shirt constantly? I am a fairly consistent girl in this case. I still live in this shirt. You can tell how often it gets washed, if you look at the grey fraying at the edges of the tears in the shirt. This thing is my soulmate.

Also, I never really noticed how prominent my pubic mound-bone-thing is until I wore this skirt -- hey what is TMI? -- which is kind of interesting. Is this like, the female equivilent to having bigger junk? Is it a good thing? Is it acceptable to say, "wow, this skirt really accentuates my pubic mound"? Whatever, I'll take what I can get, since I have the boobs (and overall height) of a twelve year old. Gotta compensate somehow.

I feel like a crappy fashion influence since I typically wait to buy pretty much anything until it's already on sale, and by time it's on the blog, it's dropped off the face of the internet. I got this skirt months ago! It really bums me out when I see someone rocking something awesome from say, Romwe, and when I go to look for it, it's gone. So here, if you guys like this skirt, maybe you'll like these alternatives:

Here's some song reference for ya:

These lyrics just break my heart, damn.

87; Dandy Highwayman

Bustier: Sparkle and Fade via Urban Outfitters • Vest: Child's Halloween costume • Leggings: c/o shopakira • Boots: ALDO shoes • Choker: Spencer's • Ankle: handmade from Hyannis, Cape Cod

Pink hair! Do ya dig? It's a little more orange hued than I was wanting, but whatever. I kinda messed up the dye concoction anyway, so it's my fault. I've gotten tons more compliments on this than when my hair was blue, and yet, I liked it better then. This shade of pink's not quite my favourite, and while Kathryn agrees with me, everyone else insists this better suits me. Hey, whatever! I like it all right. I'll probably do grape Kool-Aid again in the future, that was really awesome. Someone else suggested I do lemon yellow, I think it was Kathryn? That's really tempting too. (Only if it turns out like, neon.)

Fun fact about this vest: it was purchased on a whim when I was seventeen and living in Arizona, at a Halloween shop downtown that was running a massive "it's after Halloween and we need this stuff gone before the end of the week when our lease expires" sale. I think it was five bucks? Didn't even realise it was child's size until after I got home. I feel like Adam Ant in this. Er, child-sized Adam Ant. It took everything in me not to put warpaint on my face when getting dressed. I kind of regret that decision not to.

Check out these amazing denim pannel leggings that shopakira sent me. They have denim pannels in all of the inappropriate areas, so they can be worn as pants! So, you know, no complaints from the fashion audience saying, "eww, hate when girls wear leggings as pants, camel toe, eww!" BAM, these things should win an award for being so clever. They almost look like chaps, the kind motorcycle guys wear sometimes. That's always a plus.

There's so much awesome sexy/adorable stuff from shopakira's brand that I just can't get over, much like these leggings. Check 'em out; I really think I'm gonna get this pink and blue cropped turtleneck when I get paid 'cuz damn, I can't deal with how perfect it is! Here are some pieces that I love, but you can check out shopakira's label here!

Everything is until $50 except for those drop dead gorgeous blue leggings. I'd blow $80 on those in a heartbeat, if it was within the realm of possibility.

Title ref, if you didn't know this song already! (And if you don't, you need to rectify that.)
